Welcome to Animal Rescue Kos
Based on Kos in the small village of Antimaxia. Animal Rescue Kos are registered as an animal charity with the Greek courts since June 2010.
We aim to reunite owners with lost pets, re-home stray animals, and provide shelter and care for a vulnerable population many of which are injured, starved or sick and need medical care. We are strong believers in animal sterilisation for the good of the animals health and to save unwanted litters that are often born sick or abandoned to die.
Every animal in our care, that is of age, is fully vaccinated, sterilised/castrated, micro chipped, blood tested and parasite controlled. Pups are fully vaccinated , micro chipped and parasite controlled and the owners are advised about sterilisation & castration when the dog is of age. When funds allow we also run sterilisation programmes with the many feral cats, also privately owned here and up to date it has proven to be very successful. The difference can be noticed in many areas where the cat population has declined.
We also dog offer owners free sterilisation/castration for their pets(when funds allow) on the condition that their pet is also micro chipped, registered and has current Rabies vaccination. If not chipped we do this at a discount rate.
We are self funded, receive no government help and rely totally on the generosity of our loyal supporters and the thoughtful tourists that visit the island.

Here you will find many items, most of them handcrafted which you can purchase and also pick up any information on our work. Also we have collection boxes and information in hotels who support our work. We also we raise money at the Christmas Bazaars.
